Wooden Forest Animal Blocks
The realistic imagery will enable your child to learn about animals in the wild and inspire them to identify them when out on trips to a safari park or see them in books. Older children can be encouraged to visualise characters in story-telling and creative writing. They can be used as visual conversation starters to discuss with your child animal behaviours, how and what they eat, what eats them, what noises they make and what habitats do they live in?
Each block is made from smooth 2cm basswood ply making them robust and easy for children to hold. They are freestanding and can be used in imaginative play, to encourage descriptive language skills and an aid to learning the characteristics of a variety of insects, birds, reptiles and mammals.

“These wooden animal blocks have been the most played with resource since they arrived and proved great for open-ended play. The blocks are very well-made and smooth to the touch. They are exactly the right size for small hands and can be easily cleaned. We found they encouraged children to engage in lots of educational discussion about the animals, using new vocabulary about the noises they make, where they live and characteristics such a stripes and spots."
"When opening the box, my son’s reaction was, ‘Wow!' I thought the blocks were well-designed and made."
